First Time Guide to the Annual Tubac Festival of the Arts
Since 1959, the Tubac Festival of the Arts has been bringing color to the desert every February, transforming the entire Historic Village of Tubac into a vibrant open-air gallery. Southern Arizona’s longest-running art festival, ranked #1 in Arizona and 10th nationally by Sunshine Artists, features more than 200–250 fine artists and craftsmen offering paintings, sculpture, jewelry, photography, and one-of-a-kind works throughout the village’s streets, plazas, and courtyards.
The festival is designed for wandering. Streets are closed to cars, creating a relaxed, pedestrian-friendly experience where art blends seamlessly with more than 125 galleries, boutiques, specialty shops, and restaurants. Plan to spend the day browsing booths, sampling festival food, and enjoying live music and entertainment. With convenient parking and shuttle service, getting here is easy - once you arrive, it’s all about sunshine, creativity, and soaking in a place where art and history meet, just 40 minutes south of Tucson.
