Tubac Presidio State
Historic Park -- History Lives Here!
The
Tubac Presidio State Historic Park was established in 1958 as
Arizona's very first state park. As a Spanish presidio (fort),
Tubac's link in Juan Bautista de Anza's historic march to San
Francisco is well established. The park celebrates the richness
of this region's history, with static displays and Living History
events that chronicle the many peoples and cultures that have
called Tubac home. We suggest that whenever possible, a first-time
visit to Tubac should begin at the Tubac Presidio State Historic
Park.
The Tubac Presidio State Historic Park features:
- Old School House and Otero Community Hall on National Register
of Historic Places
- Museum
- Underground archaeology display
- Picnic area (Picnic area and Otero Hall may be reserved
for group functions)
- Anza Trailhead

The Tubac Presidio State Park is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily,
year-around, and closes for major holidays only.
