Frequently Asked Questions
(and some things that are just nice to know!)
General Info
Answers to many common questions about Tubac can be found by
perusing this web site, however we invite you to email specific
inquiries to the Tubac Chamber of Commerce Executive Director
at:
Are there any places to stay overnight in Tubac that
the Chamber of Commerce recommends?
There are a number of excellent places to stay in and around
Tubac. You will find those that are members of our Chamber of
Commerce listed here. If you are interested in tent camping,
you should contact the Tubac Trailer Tether, as they are the
only place we know of that occasionally allows tent campers.
Requests for accommodations for large groups should be directed
to The Rio Rico Resort or the Tubac Golf Resort. Note that all
accommodations in the area book up during the first two weeks
of February when we host our annual Festival of the Arts. Please
contact the place you want to stay well in advance of any February
vacation dates.

When is my favorite store in Tubac open?
This is definitely a frequently asked question, especially in
the summer when business slows. As a general guideline the following
applies to shop hours in Tubac:
Fall, Winter, Spring Months: Tubac shops are, for
the most part, open 7 days a week throughout the winter months.
Like any small, artsy community certain shops maintain unpredictable
hours, so if you are planning to visit a specific business its
always a good idea to call ahead.
Summer: Life slows down in Tubac during the summer
and many shops cut back their hours. Most, however, are open
at least 5 days per week. As always, call ahead to the shop
you are hoping to visit.
Holidays: Most to all Tubac shops close Thanksgiving,
Christmas, and New Year's Day. Easter is a mixed bag; some shops
closed, others open. Many shops close early on Christmas Eve.
